The Lion of the tribe of Judah resonates within the heart of the spotless, perfect Lamb of God.
The power and majesty of the Lion roars beneath the demure white wool of the Lamb.
The Lion roars, “Come out of him.” Demons tremble and scramble in fear.
The Lamb says, “Come unto me and I will give you rest”- and the broken receive new life.
The Lion roars, “Brood of vipers - hypocrites!” And the external religiosity of the dark-hearted falls away to reveal their true nature.
The Lamb says,” Love your enemies” - and we learn the true nature of real love.
The Lion roars,” Come out from among them and be separate “ - and behold the chaff and the wheat are shown.
The Lamb says,” Upon this rock, I will build my church.”
The Lion roars, “And the gates of hell shall not prevail against it!”
The Lamb says, “This is my body which is broken for you, take..eat..remember.”
The Lion roars, “Could you not watch with me one hour?”
The Lamb says, “ I am He.”
The Lion roars,” You would have no power if it were not given to you by my Father!”
The Lamb says, “Father, forgive them...they do not know what they are doing.”
The Lamb of God stretched on a cross- skin and wool torn and shredded. Blood soaks the spotless white.
The Lamb cries,” Father...why have you left me all alone?!” IT IS FINISHED!!! Carrying the lifeless body of the Lamb to a borrowed tomb;
those who loved Him mourn, those who hated Him gladden their hearts...
though they are unsettled by how the death of this Lamb has affected the earth, sky and atmosphere.
A strange darkness has settled on all.
Death and Hell and it’s minions are celebrating the defeat of their nemesis.
Disciples scattered and lost; one plagued by guilt.
Many wonder, “Is this all there is? Is our hope no more?”
But wait! I hear a distant roar!!
The earth explodes with the awesome roar from the one and only Lord of Glory!
The rolling earth and the sky opens with new light!
The tomb could not hold the LION OF JUDAH!
He wakens the Lamb with a roar of victory that makes the entire earth shudder.
The impact of this Lion in the heart of the Lamb will roll through the rest of history,
as the moment that the Lamb that was slain rose to live again.
Never again is there a reason for hopelessness.
For the Lion still roars today! |
